“ BBQ looks delicious on a Friday around 12. They don't usually have their stuff out till 10:30-11 as I was there at 9 once and the BBQ and bakery was not ready yet. On a Sunday I had seen the kitchen making other dishes but did not inquire if they had a set menu or rotating. “ Absolutely one of the best international markets in the entire Rochester area. They have an incredible selection of products that are fresh and tasty. The bakery items are amazing. My husband loves the pork scallion buns. Countless snack items, every variety of sauce and noodle and just every product you can imagine wanting they have it here. It's a great place to buy specialty items you can't find in other stores. They used to have a restaurant in the front that served really great roast duck! I think that part had closed since the pandemic but I'm not positive ”

“ Awesome selection. Overwhelming! Like a dozen rows of bottled, boxes, canned non perishables. Reasonably organized. Cooler section with fresh perishables. Again, good selection. Many freezer items of every possibility. I usually get a bunch of spring rolls and dumplings. Some fresh veggies, especially the type you need for Asian cooking. Bakery looks and smells nice. Live fish! Spices!cookware! What more could one want. Now I gotta get one of those Peking Ducks hanging in the lobby hot foods area! So much fun coming here. Always spend at least an hour+ ”

“ How did I not write a review yet after being here for years?! This is possibly the best Asia market in Rochester. Not to be confused with AsiaN supermarket nearby (Korean food), this is the one on Brighton Henrietta Townline. Drive slowly bc the purple sign kind of creeps up on you next to the car auto shop right next door. Parking is ok; can get a little chaotic on weekends and on holidays. Despite not being as large as the large asian grocery stores in other cities (H Mart/ GW market etc), it has all the things you need. I prefer this place over the dark and somewhat outdated Lee's Market and this place definitely has almost all the things you can think of. It's decently sanitary; what keeps it from a 5 star is the quality of the seafood. Not the freshest- go to Ocean Seafood or farmers market. Hint: the best BBQ duck and pork in Rochester is actually here. A lot of the duck and BBQ pork in restaurants are actually stale and not good quality/fresh. You're best bet is to pick some up here and take it home. Another hint: can get some 50% off produce if you scour around the fresh produce aisles. I have been able to try various produce for cheap and experiment without feeling badly about wasting because they go super cheap. in terms of produce: good for veggies not great for fruits. You're best off getting fruit from Wegmans/Costco/Aldi. The fruit here is often pricey and not the best. But, for veggies the prices are competitive to large cities. Bokchoy: ~1.49$/lb. Yuchoy is about 2$/lb. Mushrooms are a little pricy here. They do sell taro, sweet potato (yellow and orange), water spinach, garlic, ginger, spinach, watercress, gailan, Chinese spinach, chives, Napa, Chinese cabbage/normal cabbage, eggplant, giant asian carrots, tomatoes, cauliflower, okra, etc. There's also a decent area of kitchen supplies. They also sell miso, hand pulled noodles, rice cakes, duck eggs, tofu, etc. The dry good section feels cramped but has good options and is comparable to big cities. Don't love their seafood section; things just don't seem fresh there and I've bought things before there which wasn't great. Meats here are reasonable they do have organs and also hot pot suitable shaved meats like shabu Good snack and dried noodles section with good condiments area. I've been able to make almost every asian cuisine out there but korean- you'll have to head over the over priced Asian Super market next to Millennium Games if you want supplies for say Tokbokki or Samgyetang. Cashiers speak ok English- you may have difficulty asking them if you're trying to find specific ingredients however. Accept cash and card. No bags so bring your own as other NY state stores. Also sell some bamboo and exotic asian home plants at the entrance. ”
